How The Covenant Golf Society collects, uses, and protects information submitted through this website.

1. Who we are

2. Information we collect
We may collect:
- Application details: name, email, phone, city, title, company, LinkedIn URL, referral, character reference, faith and essay responses, and covenant affirmations
- Payment-related information processed by Stripe (we do not store full card numbers on our servers); Stripe may store customer records for applications and purchases
- Career interest communications and partnership inquiries
- Basic technical data such as browser type, IP address, and pages visited, if analytics or security tools (for example Cloudflare Turnstile) are enabled
- Communications you send us about membership, events, or orders
3. How we use information
- To review membership applications and respond to applicants
- To process membership dues and apparel orders
- To operate chapters, events, and member communications
- To improve the website and prevent spam or abuse
- To comply with legal obligations
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers such as Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (Turnstile human verification and, when DNS is proxied, WAF/DDoS edge protection), Resend or similar email delivery, GitHub (application issue intake when enabled), analytics and monitoring providers (for example Plausible and Datadog), and hosting platforms (for example Vercel)
- Chapter Captains or national leadership as needed to evaluate membership or host events
- Professional advisors (attorney, CPA, insurance) and authorities when required by law
International transfers may occur when our processors store data outside the United States. We select established providers and limit access to what is needed for the purpose.
5. Retention
Application and membership records are kept as long as needed for Society operations, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. You may request deletion of application data that is not required for an active membership or legal hold.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure. Use strong unique passwords for any future member portal accounts.
7. Your choices
You may decline to submit an application or purchase. For questions about your data, contact us through the application channel or the email address provided in your correspondence with the Society.
8. Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the site after updates means you accept the revised policy.
